Do You What Flowers Mean?

Flowers are used for many different reasons. All flowers have meanings and if you visit your local Birmingham florists they will have the knowledge of this and will let you know what each flower means. For example many people already know red roses are for love. A white rose represents pure love. Yellow roses means will you be my friend. Orange rose represents exactly the same thing as yellow rose. Pink rose is used for gifts.

 

There are not only roses with meanings there are other flowers who have meanings too. Flowers such as apple blossom, cosmos, camellia, aster, daisy and hibiscus have all got meanings.

 

Below is the list of some flowers with different meanings.

Aster means happiness

Apple blossom signifies guarantee

Camellia means kindness

Daisy signifies innocent

Cosmos means quiet

Hibiscus signifies delicate or soft beauty

Gardenia means enjoyment

Striped means denial

Begonia means deep thinking

Jasmines means elegance and grace

Lilac means first ever true love

Marigold means desire for riches

Poppy means giving

Orchid means delicate beauty

Pink rose means closeness but in friendly way

Red rose means adoring love

White and Red rose means hermony

White rose means purity

Pink tulip means caring

Purple tulip means loyalty

White tulip means forgiveness

Ivy means fidelity

Holly means home contentment

 

There are various other flowers that have meanings and do feel free to add them in the comment box below, I know I have missed out loads. Flowers are seasonal they also have meanings for months for example carnation is for people who were born in January, daisy is for April and rose is for June. I don’t have much knowledge on this yet but I will surely be doing some research on this for my next post.

 

If you visit your local flower shop, the florist will be able to tell you why they have different flowers for different ocassions likes white flowers for funeral flowers, decorated and coloured flowers for wedding and birthday flowers. Some people might not have thought about this but flowers can certainly be very interesting.
