where can I buy potatoe plants for my vegetable garden in Ontario?

I have a vegetable garden and I want to plant potatoes however I haven’t been able to find them. I have looked at garden shops, along with Home Depot and Wal-mart for potato plants and seeds. First of all to plant potatoes do they come in seeds or plants, and where do I get them? Please help.

You plant potatoes from ……..potatoes. Actually from what are called “Seed potatoes” which are nothing but potatoes which have been left in a dark place until they start to sprout. When they start to sprout they are cut into pieces, so there is one “eye” or sprout per piece, and planted.
