Performance Enhancing Plants: A Sure Way To Save Mother Earth
Global warming and aggregate climate change are two of the greatest challenges the world faces today. People from all walks of life have made joint efforts to help resolve such issues by encouraging the practice of recycling, the utilisation of biofuel, the use of CFC-free products, and especially by planting trees. Many consider tree planting as an excellent solution. However, due to the severity of global warming and the environmental damages which have been done, trees and other plants have a hard time growing; enduring environmental stress; and performing as carbon capture reservoir.
But with research and technology, there are now what we call as performance enhancing plants. From having dual-celled genes, plants become polyploidy as botanists create multi-cell structures for them. From the smallest algae to the more ginormous trees, plants can now be tougher, healthier and more productive, and work better as the earth’s carbon capture reservoir. Such plants are still very natural, as no foreign genes or actual modifications come into play.
Because of their polyploidy characteristics, performance enhancing plants grow faster. Due to faster growth harvest and production are increased by up to 30%. So farmers yield more crops, and environmentalists get to grow more trees. The same plants are also capable of tolerating harsh environmental factors, namely: drought, salt, soil minerals, and more. So we need not worry about the earth-saving plants getting killed easily. The plants are also found to have a larger mature size, and more seed and fruit. And as a global warming management solution, performance enhancing plants can actually absorb carbon dioxide by up to 50% more. And because of the branching behavior possessed by such plants, more will also be capturing carbon dioxide. If these special plants would be used continually for afforestation, it would make such a big difference as some afforestation projects have been found to contribute over a hundred percent increase in local cloud and rainfall; and lower the average temperatures by a whopping 5 degrees Celsius.
