rat food mix! Please help!! what can i substitute?
so i want to make the suebee’s diet for my rats:)
but there are some ingredients i cant not get at my local bulk store
the recipe calls for
1/2 to 1 lb. dry rolled oats
5.3 oz. box puffed wheat cereal
6.4 oz. box puffed rice cereal
1 12 oz. box Total Cereal
1/4 to 1/2 lb. roasted, unsalted soy nuts
1/2 lb dried fruits
1/2 lb dry pasta
2/3 cup sunflower seeds
BUT i can not get the
Puff wheat cereal
Puff rice cereal
total cereal
so what are three good healthy things i can add into the rat mix for my ratties?
the problem with making your own rat mix is that your rats can get picky and they can end up (like humans) only eating the fatty foods. my recommendation is to just buy rat pellets. they are healthy and good for your rats. and you can offer some of those as treats, but I recommend the pellets.
