Would using this facial cleanser count as the “oil cleansing method”?
The oil cleansing method typically involves olive oil and castor oil, but the essential idea is that your skin will produce less oil, thus leading to less acne.
I came across this cleanser (burt’s bees orange essence facial cleanser), the ingredients-
glycerin, olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, limonene, avena sativa (oat) kernel flour, lanolin, citrus aurantium dulcis (sweet orange) peel oil, quillaja saponaria (quillaja) bark extract, aloe barbadensis leaf juice, avena sativa (oat) kernel oil, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, beta-carotene, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract, tocopherol, glycine soja (soybean) oil, olus (vegetable oil, huile vegetale), canola oil (huile de colza), sodium benzoate
as you can see, it’s an oil based cleanser, but the ingredient “limonene” is an oil stripper. By using this product, am I still following the oil cleansing method, or traditional cleansing?
I’m not so much of a fan of the oil cleansing method.
I broke out so badly. I hated my life.
Though try it. Burt’s bee isn’t cheap for a reason. Perhaps your skin will react differently than mines.
