Should I stop flax seed before surgery? If so, can I take psyllium?

I have been taking flax seeds for constipation and cholesterol. I am having some unrelated surgery and am wondering if I need to stop taking the flax. My pcp said I don’t need to stop, and the surgeon’s office does not know much about flax. I have read that omega 3s sometimes need to be stopped before surgery. If I need to stop, can I take psyllium instead? Thanks

The Omega 3s they primarily refer to on that are Fish Oils because Fish Oil can thin the blood.
If your surgeon doesn’t know anything bad about Flax, I doubt it would be bad for surgery. If it was, he would know you shouldn’t take it. Also, if a practitioner said it was fine for surgery, I wouldn’t doubt them if you trust them. You should have no problem.
