Would this flower overtake my garden?
Would Larkspur (giant imperial mix from burpee) spread if I put it in my garden?? I would like to plant it but I’m afraid it would spread to much.
Larkspur is one plant you’d be happy to have take over your yard! But fear not, it is not at all invasive. This is one of my most beloved annuals that are a staple for the cottage garden. They make delightful color in casual cut bouquets with daisies in old fashioned Mason jars!
Too often these annual plants are confused with highbrow perennial delphinium, which are notoriously finicky plants. This plant description tells you why:

Annual larkspur will grow from seed sown into garden soil or you can start the seed indoors in little pots and then plant them out later on. After they bloom, allow the plants to go to seed and you may be delighted with volunteers come spring.
