Is it ok to add flax seeds whole to recipes for like breads or stuffing?

I tried to chomp them up in a blender to use as egg substitute and it was a no go…or rather a spin the seeds around the blender…guess you need a coffee grinder for that or mortar and pestal…At least I had Ener G to use…
I am not allergic to eggs, just considering going more towards vegan…

Try buying milled flaxseed. You get more of the omega-3s out of it if its milled. And its perfectly fine to sprinkle into baked goods.
