Allergic symptoms- is it onions, ginger, garlic, fennel seeds, chilis or tumeric?
Hello- i am a student- and I spent the majority of the time living in a shared house in Liverpool. Apart from onions which i use 2+ times a week, i do not use any of the ingredients listed in the question.
In contrast- when I go home to Birmingham (to stay with parents), I have the ingredients listed almost every day. I have never felt good when I am at home and have had the symptoms listed below.
I have had allergic symptoms for as long as i remember at home, and has severely affected my life. I have previously thought they were colds or dust allergies – but all allergies (apart from food) have been ruled out.
My symptoms which occur for the vast majority of the day include:
severe eyestrain- especially during using the computer/reading
not always relieved by resting/closing eyes
continous running nose
mild headaches
irritability
inability to relax / chill out
itchiness general
general unease
Being outdoors also gets rid of all this big time
It’s very hard to tell. You have to do an elimination diet, which means that you cut out one of these foods for a few weeks and see what happens. You can try to reintroduce it then and see if your condition comes back. You have to do these one at a time so you can tell which one it is.
Did they test you for molds and cockroaches? I’m allergic to both of those. I suppose it’s possible your parent’s house could have one of those. If you are already know about those ones, then you may want to try the elimination diet thing. Good luck.
