This is probably very obvious, but, do nutrition facts lie?

I’m not being an ass, like I don’t know, but my mom is so stupid, that she thinks nutrition facts lie to make the people think their stuff is healthy. She says this because I like David’s Nacho Cheese-flavored sunflower seeds, and she thinks that just by taste, that those seeds have a lot of salt, and the nutrition facts say it only has 225 mg of sodium per 5.25 oz bag. (I did the math.) I want to prove it to her by posting this question.
My mom is a certifiable idiot and a hypocrite. She won’t follow food directions because she thinks they’re stupid, she won’t believe anything anyone says. A moment of hypocrisy? When she argued with my dad, she told my brother and I that we would move out and get as far away from him as possible. When we moved, she forced him to go to the house to see that she bought it.

nutrition facts by law have to tell the truth but are very good at deceiving the buyer by stretching the truth. like just because it has 225 mg of sodium doesn’t mean sodium isn’t written down as another ingredient. for example energy drinks write down that they have so many Mg’s of caffeine but if you look up other ingredients you’ll see that some are just different forms of caffeine that they don’t actually have to tell you about by law
