Is it safe for my pet to eat Chia-Pet grass?

I’m thinking of getting him a Chia Pet that grows grass for Christmas, because I know he loves to eat grass during the summer and it’s healthy for his digestion. Is the grass from those chia-pet-type things (the ones specifically with GRASS seed) safe for him?
he is a cat by the way :-)

Look on the internet for information about the Chia Pet grass and if it’s safe for animals to digest. I would think not but just check to be sure. Up at the PetSmart stores, they grow this cat nip grass that is for cats and it’s safe for them to eat.
