What can adults do around Cedar Point?
My wife and I are planning a 3 day trip to Cedar Point with our two teenage children(18 &15). The four of us each have two day passes. However my wife and I aren’t really interested in spending a 3rd day riding roller coasters. We are in our late 40′s, yet fairly active. We enjoy biking, hiking, camping and most outdoor activities. We also enjoy visiting historical sites and sporting events.
If you are making your trip before August, do consider visiting Put-in-Bay in order to see the Perry Victory and International Peace Memorial before it is closed for major repairs, apparently for two years.

The 35-story monument is the largest Doric column in the world and the fourth tallest monument in the U.S. with impressive views of the western Lake Erie basin.
You can catch a ferry boat or plane from Sandusky. Call before you go to make certain the memorial is open:

Near Cedar Point is Toledo, where the Toledo Museum of Art often is considered to have the best glass collection in the world, celebrating Toledo’s history as a glass manufacturing center. Its Glass Pavilion is considered an architectural triumph by many.

If you aren’t from northern Ohio, or have never been to Cleveland, you’re only about an hour from downtown. Cleveland attractions include the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, the Cleveland Museum of Art (admission is free and it’s considered one of the best in the nation), Playhouse Square (largest performing arts center in the nation after Lincoln Center in New York City), Cleveland Botanical Gardens, and the Warehouse District. Perhaps you could catch an Indians game at Progressive Field. Links are included below in Sources.
