Substitute for ground cumin in a recipe?
I’m making a bulk taco seasoning mix. It calls for ground cumin but I don’t have much left. Is there a good substitute for ground cumin? I looked it up and only found substituting with caraway, but I must have some kind of allergy to caraway as when I’ve eaten the seeds on things before I’ve gotten a stomach ache/cramps, but haven’t had any problem with ground cumin (even though I think they’re from the same family?). Thanks
When I made the first batch I didn’t have ground cumin… so I ground up the cumin seeds that I had. Now I’m almost totally out of “ground” cumin (or cumin of any kind). : )
try chili powder or paprica
