Isnt it illegal to sell marijuana seeds online?

i use site called “stumbleupon” and it takes you to random sites with your specifications. It took me to a site that sold cannabis seeds and i thought that was really strange. The seller said it ships worldwide and does not have a disclaimer for anything that might happen during shipping. Is’nt it illegal to do that? and cant the package be discovered when being processed through mailing stations? i found it really weird that a site like that even exists and, since they seem to be doing well, actually works?

It may be or may not be legal to sell them from wherever they are based(you didnt specify that) BUT it IS illegal to buy and possess marijuana seeds in the US. And i can bet you the US mail has no comprehesive way to search every piece of mail it sees for mj seeds!!
